ABOUT
The FBHC Network
The International Network of Leaders in Faith-based Health Care (FBHC) focuses on local expressions of leadership practice. It was established in November 2008 as leaders of a number of such institutions met at The Carter Center in Atlanta (USA), coming from different countries and representing different faith traditions. The network sees its work in the tradition of the Christian Medical Commission of the World Council of Churches.
The main objective of the network is to facilitate an exchange of leadership ideas, experiences and practices, to mutually reflect on the distinct identity and role of faith based health care institutions, and to join efforts in developing innovative models of leadership. The network seeks to create space for engaging both practitioners and researchers to meet and reflect together. It also seeks to facilitate dialogue and cooperation between institutions in different social and cultural contexts, paying special attention to the challenges and experiences of faith based health care institutions in the global South and North.
